BlueSky Education Coverage Highlights October 2020

It has been another successful month for BlueSky Education and our clients. Despite the continued challenges posed by COVID-19 – which have put many of us into another lockdown and dominated the media – we’ve continued to adapt and have secured some amazing coverage for our clients.

Here are just a few examples of what we have secured in October:

Firstly, we secured excellent coverage for four of our clients in a Forbes article titled ‘Game, Set And Match. The Business Masters Where Europeans Are The World Champions.’ The piece features Imperial College Business School, emlyon business school, NEOMA Business School and ESCP Business School. The BlueSky Education team worked together to find relevant spokespeople from these clients for a Forbes contributor to create a dedicated piece focusing on business masters in Europe. Forbes delivers a mix of stories, video and trending features, aimed at the world's business leaders – so it’s an excellent target for our clients. It practices what it calls "social journalism, enabling content creators, consumers and marketers to participate." It was great to get so many of our clients featured in one of the top business publications globally, which has an online readership of over 7 million.

Another coverage highlight from October was a Poets and Quants article titled ‘How Specialist Master’s Programs Add Value.’ Similar to the Forbes article above, the BlueSky Education team came together to find relevant masters and spokespeople from our clients for Poets and Quants, which resulted in an article about how a specialised Masters could be a good alternative to an MBA, featuring MIP Politecnico di Milano, emlyon business school, ESCP Business School and NEOMA Business School. This was a targeted result since Poets and Quants is a highly-regarded site that covers all things in the business school world, with in-depth analysis of B-school rankings and full-time MBA programmes. Since its launch, Poets and Quants has experienced five consecutive years of record-breaking traffic growth, racking up more than 70 million-page views from all over the world.

Alongside this, we secured coverage for emlyon business school in highly respected news publications The Scotsman and Newsweek International, as well as five other quality publications, about an academic model that has predicted that Trump will win the 2020 US election. With the election taking place on the 3rd of November, the end of October was the perfect time for us to send out a press release about the model as the US election was heavily dominating the media – even in corona times.

Furthermore, we delivered superb coverage for three of our clients in the Financial Times. It is that time of year where the EMBA report comes out, so the BlueSky Education team expertly pitched relevant spokespeople, including students and faculty, to speak about the EMBA. A student from BI Norwegian Business School spoke about ‘what an MBA did for me,’ a student from NEOMA Business School spoke about the EMBA being ‘the globetrotting degree’ and the Director of MBA programmes at emlyon business school spoke about how they adapted to online tuition. The Financial Times is a globally respected daily newspaper and website with an emphasis on business, finance, economic and political news, comment and analysis – they have a section on their website which focuses heavily on Business Education. It has an online circulation of over 18.5 million and is considered one of the most desirable homes for coverage amongst business schools around the world.

And one final example, we had huge success with a press release sent out on research for Durham University Business School. Their research explored how popular fiction has shaped modern business management styles and revealed that film and TV can make business leaders psychotic, incompetent, greedy or heroic. Given the move over to remote working over the last few months, there has been a heavy focus on leadership styles and how this will impact employees, for this reason we knew that this would be successful in the media and the press release received coverage in over 16 publications including Business Matters Magazine and Enterprise Magazine.

These are just a few examples of the coverage we have secured for our clients in October. We have achieved much more than what has been highlighted above and we’d love to share any examples in particular areas on request.
