What did BlueSky Education achieve throughout 2020?

2020 was an incredibly difficult year for many, but it's important to look at the positives and appreciate our achievements as well.

At BlueSky Education we achieved a number of things not only for our fantastic clients, but also internally as a team. Mentioned below are just a few of the positive things that came out of 2020 for us.

Media coverage

In terms of media coverage, at BlueSky Education we helped coordinate more than 2167 individual pieces of coverage for our clients in top publications all over the world.

This includes 458 hits in Education Press, 80 hits in Forbes, and 56 hits in The Financial Times.

A great example of this is from March 2020, when following the initial outbreak of coronavirus, and the subsequent lockdown in Italy, The Financial Times discussed how MIP Politecnico di Milano business school in Milan accelerated online teaching for all its students. This article highlighted how MIP used their advanced technological platforms to ensure their students education was not disrupted despite a very difficult situation.

Social media

In terms of our social engagement, our BlueSky Education account shared over 900 tweets, resulting in an impressive 473.1k impressions on Twitter.

We also launched two seasons of The BlueSky Education Thinking podcast, interviewing business school experts as well as members of our very own BlueSky Team, to share insights on a wide range of topics.

Global reach

As well as coordinating more than 160 hits in the UK National Media, at BlueSky Education we also secure media coverage in all corners of the globe. A great example of this is an article we secured in Valor Economico in April 2020, which focused on Brazilian students studying abroad during the pandemic. This article featured students from Alliance Manchester, NEOMA Business School, and ESMT Berlin, and gave very interesting insights from a student’s perspective.

On top of this, we also helped our clients receive over 80 hits in Asian media too.

In-house

Our achievements of 2020 were also reflected internally within our team. Combined, our team published more than 60 highly-praised blogs on our website, bringing in readers from all over the world.

As well as this, despite the pandemic and adapting to challenging working environments, 56% of our staff were promoted.

Finally, BlueSky Education were proud to sponsor and speak at the MaKi Virtual Conference, enabling us to connect with members of the business school community, despite not being able to meet face-to-face.
