Organic Social: Social Media Management

What we did

Although our client Global Accounting Network had established a strong client base servicing a number of well-known brands, it wanted to further enhance its profile among prospective candidates and clients.

To achieve this we overhauled the firm’s social media strategy to maximise the reach of our existing PR and blogging activities. We implemented the ‘rule of thirds’ model with a strong focus on repurposing earned and owned media, as well as curating valuable content from industry publications that our client’s prospects were reading on a regular basis.

The results

  • We consistently achieved over 14,000 Twitter impressions each month with regular engagement from a range of top tier industry publications, including Accountancy Age, Economia, Financial Director, Financial Management and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
  • Increased LinkedIn audience by 2,000 over 15 months.
  • Our strategy not only raised its profile amongst its target audience but it also generated an increase in enquiries from journalists seeking comment and analysis from its founding director


Paid Social: Sponsored Facebook Posts

What we did

In April 2018, 6CATS International was shortlisted for ‘Best Company for Customer Service’ at the prestigious Recruitment International Supplier Awards. Alongside existing PR, content marketing and organic social media activity, they wanted to maximise awareness of the award nomination amongst their core audience of recruitment and contracting professionals and increase the number of online votes submitted.

BlueSky advised 6CATS that with the decline of organic reach across social media, the most cost-effective method to meet these objectives would be for us to produce paid Facebook posts which targeted both audiences.

The results

Using a modest double-digit trial budget agreed by our client, the sponsored Facebook posts produced some fantastic results over a three day period. Collectively they:

  • Reached 23,000 unique users
  • Generated over 74,800 impressions – ensuring that both recruiters and contractors were exposed to the relevant sponsored post a minimum of two times
  • Resulted in over 220 link clicks to the landing page for vote submissions
  • Had a total cost per click of just 13p – far below the average CPC value of 24p


And, most importantly for our client, 6CATS International walked away with the Recruitment International Supplier Award for ‘Best Company for Customer Service’.


Paid Social: Sponsored LinkedIn Campaign

What we did

We were tasked by RBL Associates to generate new leads using an e-book they had developed. We advised our client that the most effective way to attract interest from their desired audience - hiring managers in the technology sector - would be to develop a lead generation strategy utilising paid LinkedIn ads.

To ensure that this was a success we:

  • Targeted specific job titles in the sector which possessed duties relevant to the hiring process
  • Produced tailored social media imagery and messaging
  • Used A/B split testing to evaluate and enhance ad performance
  • Utilised the platform’s pre-filled lead gen forms to minimise friction and increase the number of potential conversions.

The results

The three week-long LinkedIn campaign produced:

  • 27 high-quality leads for our client to nurture
  • Increased its number of followers on the channel by 18% over the same period
