BlueSky PR February 2018 Highlights

February may be remembered for its blizzards and arctic temperatures but at BlueSky PR we kept ourselves busy (and warm!) by generating over 150 pieces of quality coverage for our clients. Here are some of the month’s highlights.

Industry research conducted by contractor management solutions supplier 6CATS International was covered by publications including Recruiter and the HR Director. The data revealed that almost half of recruitment agencies are unaware of the impact that the Criminal Finances Act could have on their business ahead of the legislation’s full roll out on 16th April.

Also on a research tip, analysis from Global Accounting Network found that 51% of all current FTSE 100 CEOs have a background in finance. This was featured by a variety of press including Economia, Executive Grapevine and the London School of Business and Finance’s Global Matters blog. Global Accounting Network founding director Adrian O’Connor also produced a careers article for leading trade title Accountancy Age which looked at the most sought after accountancy skills for 2018.

Recruitment outsourcing specialist Guidant Group announced that it had joined forces with sister company Irish Recruitment Consultants (IRC) to launch a new brand in Ireland – Guidant IRC. This news received coverage from titles including the country’s premier business site BizPlus and global mobility publication Relocate Global.

The 2018 Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) Awards shortlist announcement was covered by number of industry titles such as Recruitment Buzz, whilst RIDI chair Kate Headley wrote a guest blog for the Huffington Post challenging the myths and misconceptions around disability in the workplace.
