Halfway through 2019 and June has been another coverage-packed month for BlueSky Education with our clients featuring in a number of publications across national media, prominent online news hubs, and influential sector press. Below are some highlights of the quality media coverage we have secured.

Imperial College Business School had an impressive feature in Poets&Quants as a part of the “Meet the Class of 2019” series. The school’s diverse MBA cohort is introduced throughout the article, demonstrating the course’s appeal to a wide range of business students including an equestrian show-jumper, pilot, yoga teacher, and NASA scientist, to name a few. Leila Guerra, Associate Dean of Programs, explains how the school uses the term STEMBA to reflect the combination of disciplines on their MBA course where students collaborate with classmates and faculty from Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics backgrounds, and the benefit this brings.

A press release based on an incredibly interesting piece of research by Margherita Pagani, Professor of Digital Marketing, led to BlueSky Education securing features in a variety of key business and marketing trade press outlets including Marketing Dive, B2E Media, and Comms Business Magazine for emlyon business school. The press release outlined Professor Pagani’s study into the perceived trustworthiness of touch-interactive and voice-interactive technology used by companies. The findings showed that customers who used touch-only interaction engaged more with the brand and felt they had more control over their information than those using touch and voice interaction.

BlueSky Education worked with global business education-focussed online news hub BusinessBecause to engage Vlerick Business School in an important discussion; ‘Is An Online MBA Worth The Money? This article explored how business schools are taking more of their learning online and compared these new digital courses with their traditional counterparts. Vlerick Business School’s 100%-online MBA was created as an equivalent to their full-time programme. In the piece, Steve Muylle, the programme’s academic director, goes on to explain how the courses serve different segments and markets, and that the age and nationality demographics for each course differ. Perfect for any applicant looking to understand how the online and full-time courses differ!

Insights from Dr. Esther Canonico from London School of Economics’ Department of Management were featured as part of an article published by professional industry reports outlet Raconteur, looking at ‘The Age of the Flexible Worker’. The piece discussed the benefits that flexible working can offer to employees as well as to companies. Dr. Canonico talks about how women joining the UK workforce changed the traditional idea of an employee and started the trend toward flexible working, claiming women bring different values and understanding of what the responsibilities are outside of work.

Finally, a fantastic article featured in Forbes showcased a number of our clients, including Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus University (RSM) and ESCP Europe. Esteemed professors from these schools gave their views on the impact of disruptive and defiant employees in the workplace, in the article ‘Disruptive Employees – A Help or Hindrance?’ Argyro Avgoustaki, Professor of Management at ESCP Europe, found that employees will become disruptive if feeling stressed or unsatisfied with work, suggesting employers look at what is causing disruptive behaviour. Hannes Leroy from Rotterdam School of Management warns that these disruptive employees should not be rejected straight away as this can make them feel alienated, leading to further disruption. In fact, Leroy says that a disruptive employee can sometimes influence and change the way companies run for the better. Avgoustaki agrees stating that no conflict at all can cause indifference and laziness at work.

These are just a few examples of the great coverage BlueSky Education has provided for its clients this month, and the ways we have enabled faculty, students and alumni to share their expertise with key audiences.
