Using SEO and social media to enhance thought leadership

White Recruitment is a nationwide recruitment agency which operates in four diverse sectors: Engineering, Health, HVACR and Logistics. Each division has its own dedicated team of recruiters who are experts in their respective markets.

What we did for them

BlueSky PR has worked with White Recruitment for over a year supporting them with their PR and marketing content with a focus on producing thought leadership content for the sectors it specialises in, and managing their social media channels to engage each of their audiences.

Our approach involved producing content that informs candidates and clients of the latest insights and trends across each of the relevant sectors. This was SEO optimised to adhere to the latest Google algorithm factors to ensure that the blogs appeared as one of the first results for users searching for related queries on the search engine.

We also developed a social media strategy to ensure that each division’s social goals were aligned with the overall business objectives so that it could increase the brands awareness and generate new leads. This strategy, alongside daily social media management, enabled us to substantially increase the company’s reach across each channel and generate engagement from potential candidates and clients.

The results

Over a six-month period, the majority of the search engine optimised blogs we produced ranked on the first page of Google for their associated key phrases. This has helped enhance White Recruitment’s profile as an authority figure on topics related to health and social care and logistics, such as the impact of the government’s furlough scheme and how Covid-19 is accelerating existing trends within those sectors, and generate inbound traffic to the website.

We also used our social media expertise to substantially increase the reach and engagement across each of the social channels. Over four months, we achieved the following for the Health division alone:

Twitter

A 13x uplift in the average number of Twitter impressions and 10x increase in the average number of click throughs

LinkedIn

A 11x uplift in LinkedIn post impressions, a 184% increase in clickthroughs and page followers have risen by 29%

Facebook

A 67% increase in Facebook post impressions and more than trebled clickthroughs
